We are pleased to announce that terawork<\/a> has been chosen as one of 60 African startups selected for the second cohort of the Google for Startups Black Founders Fund where more than 4000 startups submitted applications. <\/p>\n

As a business and family, we are proud of how far we have come. For all of us at terawork, the journey has been eventful.<\/p>\n

The Google for Startups Black Founders Fund<\/a> is a programme that since its launch in April 2012, has generated more than $290 million in funding and created over 4,600 new jobs. It is an initiative to give access to non-dilutive funding and hands-on support from Google for Startups. <\/p>\n

The sector neutral fund selected startups from various sectors including healthcare, agritech, hospitality, e-commerce etc. Folarin Aiyegbusi, the head of Google’s Startup Ecosystem Africa, claims that startups who join the program will receive $4 million in investment and support to help them scale up their current work.<\/p>\n

The program at its core will help terawork in taking stock of our goals for growth and helping us narrow in on the primary value we want to provide for our users.<\/p>\n

We are excited about this accomplishment since it marks a significant milestone that we have reached when we look back at where we have come from.<\/p>\n

Our Google funding and resources will aid us in assisting businesses in accessing top talent and integrating talent globally into the workforce so they can work and live better lives.<\/p>\n
