Women are not given enough space to work in areas or industries that they have interest in, neither are they always privileged to actually make ends meet using their specific skill set \u2013 because, for the most part, they do not know how to turn those skills into money and they find it hard to locate employers that are willing to pay them good money for the implementation of these skills. And this is one of the major reasons why feminism exists; to advance the cause of women all over the world, advocating for better working conditions, canvassing for freedom- for women to live life on their own terms.<\/p>\n<p>In typical African societies, women are forced into doing work that they do not like instead of work that they love, just in order to make enough to see them through each meal. The fact that women have to succumb to unemployment at some point in their lives as a result of childbirth and handling family responsibilities, is one of the reasons why feminism is relevant in this generation. For the most part, women who have wonderful skills find it difficult to make money with those skills because they do not have the proper platform of information necessary to hone those skills into wealth. And so, they settle for garbage; slaving away from check to check, labouring through meagre earnings and dire working conditions. Some women are forced into taking up menial jobs in order to be able to raise sufficient money to take care of their children and this is a serious threat to the purpose of feminism in our world today.<\/p>\n<h3>What Could Work?<\/h3>\n<p>What women need to really advance the cause of feminism and the future of feminism is flexibility in the workplace; an opportunity for women to work on their own terms, by their own standards and earn according to their own dictates. What women need is a platform, an environment where they can be relevant and fully express themselves using their skills and <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.terawork.com\/5-essential-skills-you-need-to-work-as-a-freelancer-in-nigeria\/\" class=\"external\">honing those skills to making good money<\/a>.
